Why do you need Contacts access?
We sync the directory to your local device database so that when a colleague calls, their name and photo natively render on iOS Caller ID. Without write access, the data cannot be cached where the native dialer can see it.
How do I completely remove synced contacts?
Open the Gal Sync app, head to the Settings tab, and select Wipe Records. Let the process finish. Once complete, you can safely uninstall the app knowing the directory data is removed from your local database.
My background auto-sync isn't reliably updating. Why?
Apple's iOS aggressively manages background activities to preserve device battery. While Premium users have background fetch enabled, we are at the mercy of the operating system regarding when or if it wakes our app up. We request background wakes, but we cannot guarantee they execute on schedule. If you urgently need the latest directory updates, simply open the app manually.
